Hey Milla !!!!!!!!!

I can’t tell you how much I’ve been talking and talking and talking about omo and my friend and guide, you!  it seems like a different lifetime that fouad and I traveled to Omo with you and Ingidu, but I must tell you in the middle of the night when I awake I often think  of the mursi, the hammer, the karo…….  I understand why your Canadian friends are always coming back.

WOW OMO VALLEY

Just came back from a mind boggling 9 day trip to South Omo. Basically you are entering the late Bronze Age. We visited the Hammar, Bena, Mursi, Arbore, Dassenech and Kangaton tribes. It’s not an easy trip but we lucked out by getting amazing hands on tour guide who seemed to personally know the tribal leaders and had amazing contacts throughout the region. Even when we had to change plans on a dime, he arranged, in the middle of nowhere, an alternative 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser and Driver. This is a MUST trip for any true traveler looking for traveling on the off off beaten track. And if you go I highly highly highly recommend my guide. His name is Milli from Inspiration Tour Operator.

On the tour, my guide Milli came across as a little shy at first but he turned out to be an excellent guide and his manner was so warm. He was so knowledgeable on all of the tribes in the Omo Valley, managed to bargain well for photos but was a very fair person. He was warm and kind to the children in the tribes we saw.

Traveling to the South was like stepping into the pages of National Geographic.  We had an excellent guide named Mila. We flew from the capital to Arba Minch, the largest city in the South and from there we explored some amazing places and visited six different tribes near the Kenyan and Sudanese boarders. They are authentic. The tribes’ people we saw -- visited with, played pat-a-cake with, danced with -- they really dress. It wasn't a tourist thing. There is too much to say about each tribe, but we will try to hit on the highlights. A brief summary of most of the tribes we saw...
